The Hard Problem

This post from Commonweal has a list of literary works (with quotations and short reviews) that deal with the hard problem of consciousness. The list is comprised of At Last by Edward St Aubyn, “I felt a Cleaving in my Mind” and “I felt a funeral in my Brain” by Emily Dickinson, and Remainder by Tom McCarthy.

The post is a follow-up to this review of Nicholas Humphrey’s (psychology, Cambridge) Soul Dust: The Magic of Consciousness.
